Reality doesn't always have the meaning that we see at first glance, making it relative. Something new can unexpectedly unfold within it. Examining details brings forth new conjectures. It is precisely reality that inspires me. Observing objects, events and people evokes emotions and provides me with material for exploring new dimensions in art.
A new series of works titled 'Silence of Noise,' in which silent passengers are 'captured' in random moments of their journeys on public transportation amidst the noise of the city and everyday life. It is a theme of the road, a journey through life and time, not just in space, where each passenger is left to themselves while simultaneously being part of the collective noise, the 'intersound' of the surrounding world. They can contemplate themselves, find themselves lost in their thoughts, or be touched by the external world that breaks through to them through rain-washed or palm-smudged sweated bus windows.
Therefore, in my works of this series pictured space dissolves, blurring the boundary between the internal and the external. I simultaneously depict the intimacy, solitude of the individual, their vulnerability, and their interaction with the world. Many people who have seen works from this series have said that they found themselves in one of my pieces. This phenomenon is inexplicable to me, but art has made the choice for me. Thus, in this series, the theme itself, the "blurred," ambiguous reality, dictated a transition from the hyperrealism that I am accustomed to towards impressionism.
My position towards the world is as follows: by observing reality I strive to uncover hidden meanings within it and achieve harmony. I am unequivocally against living during times of military conflict, which have also affected my homeland, as it disrupts my emotional and mental balance, hindering my focus on my work. As an artist I am interested in exploring the imbalance of reality, but it is crucial to maintain a sense of harmony in the world.
