WHILE STILL ALIVE AND CAPABLE OF MAKING CHANGES is a group exhibition of contemporary Armenian artists exploring the theme of change—both personal and socio-cultural—and its origins. The process of transformation is ongoing. While uncertainty may frighten us, it is often responsibility that we fear even more. What is within our control, and what are we truly willing to take charge of?
The notion that change starts within is a shared belief among the participating artists. However, their premises and methods of enacting change are uniquely personal, which is why the exhibition features nine distinct research projects. The focus is on exploring individual creative journeys, collective memory, bodily experiences, environmental influences, spiritual quests, and the desire to connect the material with the metaphysical, the natural with the human, through artistic expression.
Through their works, the artists invite us to reflect on our capacity to influence both our own lives and the world around us. They ask us to consider how we muster the strength and motivation to face the challenges that change brings. The exhibition becomes a space where the process of adaptation and self-discovery unfolds, with each work symbolizing the human drive toward transformation and the hope for a better future.
